Navigation Computer 'Brush Up' - Training Programme

The Navigation Computer 'Brush Up' training programme covers all the uses of the Naviagtion Computer and provides an ideal forum for cndidates strugling to understand the basic concepts as well as those who wish to further or improve their skills.

The training assumes that the candidate has read the Pre-Course Study Material and has a basic understanding of the Navigation Computer.

The course is conducted by a Flight Instructor who will guide the candidates through the various methods of use ensuring that all the relevant areas are covered in depth including practical advice on completing pre-flight Navigation calculations.

A workbook with many example calculations, with answers, is included in the course.

There is no written examination at the end of the training programme.

The training is conducted at the On-Track Aviation premises situated at Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome near Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire.

Global Positioning System (GPS) - Training Programme

The Global Positioning System (GPS) training programme covers the theory and parctical use of a GPS unit for both the PPL Skill Test and VFR Navigation.

The training assumes that the candidate has little or no knowledge of GPS.

The course is conducted by a Flight Instructor who will guide the candidates through the course material ensuring that all the relevant areas are covered in depth including practical advice on the use of a GPS for VFR navigation.

If you own a GPS unit it is worth bringing it along to the course.

The training programme looks at several specific GPS units - Garmin 90, 150 and 250.

The training is conducted at the On-Track Aviation premises at Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome near Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire.
