Aircraft General and Principles of Flight

The Aircraft General and Principles of Flight training covers all the aspects of the written examination as well as practical advice for the pilot. This is a large subject to study and our recommendation is to study parts of it as you progress through your training course as the knowledge gained in this subject will help you better understand the practical aspects of your flying training.

The training assumes that the candidate has read the Pre-Course Study Material and has a basic understanding of that material.

The course is conducted by a PPL Examiner who will guide the candidates through the course material ensuring that all the relevant areas are covered in depth including practical examples of the pre-flight aeroplane inspection.

At the end of the training course the candidate may take the written examination. However, in our experience it is better to go away and complete some self study prior to taking the examination. This allows time for the tuition to be fully absorbed.

The training takes place at On-Track Aviation headquarters at Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome near Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire.
