Seaplane Operations, Seamanship and SEP (Sea) Class Rating - Training Programme

The Seaplane Operations, Seamanship and SEP (Sea) Class Rating training programme covers all the aspects of the Private and Professional Seamanship written examinations.

The training assumes that the candidate has read the Pre-Course Study Material and has a basic understanding of that material.

The course is conducted by a Seaplane Flight Instructor Examiner who will guide the candidates through the course material ensuring that all the relevant areas are covered in depth including practical advice on seaplane operations.

If you intend to complete your flying training with Neil's Seaplanes at Lochearnhead in Scotland then the course will include aircraft specific information and detail notes and checklists (please advise On-Track Aviation in advance of attending the course).

At the end of the training day the candidate may site the Private Seamanship written examination only. The Professional Seamanship written examination is only conducted at CAA Examination Centres in the UK. Contact CAA Examination Bookings for details and prices.

The training is conducted at the premises of On-Track Aviation at Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome near Stratford-Upon-Avon, Warwickshire.

Training can be conducted at your own flying club - please contact On-Track Aviation for details.
