Radio Navigation

The Radio Navigation training covers aspects of Radio Naviagtion included in the Navigation and Radio Navigation written examination as well as practical methods of pilot naviagation.

Prior to taking the Navigation and Radio Navigation written examination the candidate should also complete the VFR Naviagtion training course to ensure they are fully prepared for the examination.

The training assumes that the candidate has read the Pre-Course Study Material and has a basic understanding of that material.

The course is conducted by a PPL Examiner who will guide the candidates through the course material ensuring that all the relevant areas are covered in depth including practical examples of pre-flight preparation.

The course is not specific to Aeroplane or Helicopter pilots.

Once the candidate has completed both the VFR Naviagtion and Radio Navigation training courses they may take the written examination.

The training takes place in On-Track Aviation at Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome near Stratford-Upon-Avon.
