The Night Qualification theoretical training programme covers all the aspects of the Night Qualification and is an ideal pre-flight training course for anyone embarking on the Night Qualification.

The training assumes that the candidate has read the Pre-Course Study Material and has a basic understanding of that material.

The course is conducted by a Flight Instructor who will guide the candidates through the course material ensuring that all the relevant areas are covered in depth including practical advice night operations including night navigation, visual circuit flying and emergency handling.

The course does include airfield specific approach lighting:

  • Oxford (Kidlington) Airport (EGTK)
  • Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome (EGBW)
  • RAF Brize Norton (EGVN)

There is no written examination at the end of the training programme.

The training is conducted at On-Track Aviation at Wellesbourne Mountford Aerodrome near Stratford-Upon-Avon.
